Tweed Shire Dog Pound is situated at Leddays Creek Road, Stotts Creek, off the Tweed Valley Way (formerly Pacific Highway) north of Murwillumbah and south of Tweed Heads. It is located next to the Rubbish and Recycling Facility.

If you are driving south from the Gold Coast, take the Murwillumbah exit (Tweed Valley Way) just after the highway turns from dual carriageway to a single lane there is a huge sign with an avocado on the top which is the sign to Tropical Fruit World (this sign is known by most people). The turn off to the pound is the next left after this sign. There is a Tweed Shire Council Sign saying Rubbish and Recycling Facility and Tweed Shire Dog and Cat Pound.
