OUR ADOPTED CATS

Rescued! Happily Furever After.

The cats on this page have recently found their furever homes – they are no longer available for adoption.

Missing Cats
If your cat is missing in the Tweed Shire area, please phone the Tweed Shire Pound immediately on 02 6670 2400.
You may also upload their details and photograph to the Tweed Shire Council’s lost animals page here. Please view our links page for more information on lost pets. Remember, a microchipped cat with up-to-date address details will get home sooner!

Always adopt, never buy

You can meet and get to know your cat before you commit to purchase it – you can even take one on trial! You will take home a new member of your family that will love you unconditionally.

You can get a cat from Friends of the Pound that has already been through the destructive and time-consuming kitten stage. This can often be better with young children, to get an older cat that doesn’t jump up, scratch or have sharp teeth.

Many cats have already had some socialisation, and many mixed breed cats have less problems with their health than purebreds, although we do get many purebred cats in the pound and in foster care as well.

A rescue pet always seems to know that you have been their saviour, and can repay you tenfold with their loyalty.

Buying a rescue animal saves a life.

2025 FY Breakdown of Expenses

100% of donations, fundraising, and market activities go towards our expenses which include:

Veterinary Bills

Vet Bills are our major expense as we ensure all of our rescues are in tip-top health and desexed before being rehomed.

Animal Supplies

Dog & cat food, regular treatments for fleas, ticks and heartworm, as well as beds, collars, leads, supplementing the food supplied to pound animals… the list goes on!

Thank you to our supporters whose support makes our work possible.
