Meet our cute rabbits
Thinking of taking home a rescue rabbit?
The following rabbits are either in temporary homes with Friends of the Pound foster carers, in private kennel or are private re-homings. Click on your rabbit of interest to see where they currently reside.
Missing Rabbits
If your rabbit is missing in the Tweed Shire area, please phone the Tweed Shire Pound immediately on 02 6670 2400. You may also upload their details and photograph to the Tweed Shire Council’s lost animals page here. Please view our links page for more information on lost pets.
Always adopt, never buy
All adoptions are subject to our adoption application process which requires submitting an expression of interest. You can meet and get to know your rabbit before you commit to purchase it. You will take home a new member of your family that will love you unconditionally.
A rescue pet always seems to know that you have been their saviour, and can repay you tenfold with their loyalty.
2025 FY Breakdown of Expenses
100% of donations, fundraising, and market activities go towards our expenses which include:
Veterinary Bills
Vet Bills are our major expense as we ensure all of our rescues are in tip-top health and desexed before being rehomed.
Animal Supplies
Dog & cat food, regular treatments for fleas, ticks and heartworm, as well as beds, collars, leads, supplementing the food supplied to pound animals… the list goes on!
