🎉 Celebrating 25 Years of Rescue – Join Us!

This May, Friends of the Pound celebrates 25 incredible years of rescuing and rehoming animals in our community. What started as a small group of passionate volunteers has grown into a community-wide movement of love, care, and second chances.

To honour this milestone, we’re inviting all past and present adopters, volunteers, foster carers, and supporters to join us in the celebration!

We’re creating a special anniversary display and we’d love your help.

If you have:

• Photos or videos of adopted pets
• Posters or newspaper articles from past events
• Stories or memories from volunteering or fostering
  

Please send them to us, marked “Attention: Cheryl Roberts” via email to friendsofthepound@gmail.com, or drop them in to our Adoption Centre at U17/39-41 Corporation Circuit, Tweed Heads South, so that we can include them in our celebration display.

📅 Date: Thursday, May 8th
🕧 Time: 12:30pm for 1:00pm start
🍽️ Tickets: $20 per person (includes 2-course lunch + tea/coffee)
🌱 Vegetarian option available
🍷 Drinks available for purchase at the bar

Come and celebrate with fellow animal lovers, share stories, and reflect on how far we’ve come – all while supporting the cause we love most.
